Nairobi: Devolution Principal Secretary, Teresia Mbaika, addressed the 2nd Annual Own Source Revenue (OSR) Conference held at Safari Park Hotel, emphasizing the importance of equipping County Governments with the necessary knowledge for resource mobilization aimed at sustainable development.
According to Kenya News Agency, the conference saw active participation from key figures, including the Chairman of the Kenya Revenue Authority, Ndiritu Muriithi, and CEOs from Craft Silicon, Dhimant Shah and Kamal Budhabhatti. Mbaika urged all County Officials, including County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers, Revenue Office Directors, Fiscal Analysts, and County Finance Committees, to implement the resolutions from the conference to enhance revenue collection and fiscal responsibility.
Mbaika addressed the media after inaugurating the conference, advocating for a committed approach towards implementing the strategies discussed. She was joined by Stanley Kamanguya, CEO of the Kenya ICT Authority, underscoring a collaborative effort to improve fiscal frameworks across counties.
