This morning CS Mithika Linturi hosted the International Dairy Federation (IDF) Kenya, General Manager, Ms Caroline Edmond and Kenya Dairy Board MD, Ms Margaret Kibogy who paid him a courtesy call at Kilimo House, Nairobi.
Their talks focused on possible areas of collaboration between the IDF and the Kenyan Government in developing guidelines and methodologies to facilitate implementation of international standards and regulations in supporting actors of the dairy chain to provide safe, sustainable and nutritious dairy products.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development will also partner with the IDF to support the dairy sector in contribution to the School Milk Program and further engage in Climate Action and sustainable practices in the dairy industry in support of the local farmers.
