Cleaning Of Masalani Town

The newly elected Ijara youth leader Mr Salah Yarrow has engaged residents of Masalani town in town cleaning and waste management strategy when elected two weeks ago.

In a statement to KNA on phone, Yarrow said he has engaged the youth in town in cleaning and to educate the public on solid waste disposal within the town.

He called on residents to ensure they put a dustbin in their premises to ensure that waste management is enhanced.

He said he would ensure that the youth plant trees in institutions in Masalani town especially schools like Yusuf Haji Girls Secondary School, Shurie Secondary School, County Mixed Secondary and all primary schools.

Yarrow said they are planning to ensure Masalani is green and called on government through the county to eradicate the Mathenge tree menace that is even destroying the tarmac road within the town with it emerging roots.

Ijara MP Abdi Ali Sheikhow and nominated MP from Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance Mr Ummelkheir Harun and East Africa legislative assembly Falhatho Dekow are in support of the programme to ensure Masalani town and the entire Ijara constituency green.

The stakeholders meeting was attended by all youth in town, women group representatives, elder and government departments heads among others.
