Ouagadougou: The collection and management of plastic waste has become a major environmental protection issue. Although it is the result of human activity, this waste represents a growing threat to ecosystems and public health. Recycling, in particular, appears to be an effective solution for reducing pollution, preserving natural resources, and protecting wildlife. This challenge is of concern to both authorities and citizens. Meanwhile, on the northern outskirts of Ouagadougou, modest women earn their daily living by sorting this waste before transforming it into useful objects such as chairs, buckets, and dishes.

According to Burkina Information Agency, collecting and managing plastic waste has become a major challenge for protecting the environment. Even though this waste comes from human activity, it now represents a serious threat to ecosystems and public health. Recycling is seen as an effective solution to reduce pollution, save natural resources, and protect animals. It’s a challenge for government and the people. On the northern outskirts of Ouagadougou, humble women earn their daily living by sorting plastic waste before it is transformed into useful items like chairs, buckets, or plates.
